Shipping & Order Fulfillment Policies

Section 1.1: Unverifiable or Undeliverable Shipping Addresses

To ensure the secure delivery of merchandise and prevent costly return-to-facility incidents, Maryland Munitions Inc. utilizes automated address verification systems synced with major logistics networks (UPS, FedEx, and USPS). If a customer's shipping address is flagged by a carrier as "unverifiable" or "undeliverable," order processing will be automatically paused, and the order will be placed on a temporary shipping hold and further investigated. Common Causes for Address Verification Flags

• Incomplete Information: Absence of necessary secondary identifiers such as apartment, suite, unit, or building numbers.

• Database Mismatch: The address is newly established or not currently recognized by the Global Address Database. (boarder addressed)

• Carrier Restrictions: The destination is designated as a "non-delivery zone" for specific freight or commercial ground services. Resolution Protocols Orders on hold for address verification require direct outreach to the customer via email or phone provided. The fulfillment team must secure one of the following resolutions before releasing the shipment: 1. Address Confirmation/Correction: A verified physical street address including all necessary unit or suite numbers. 2. Alternative Delivery Location: A different physical address (such as a verified place of business) if the primary residence is consistently flagged by commercial carriers. Internal Note: Will not finalize or print shipping labels for flagged orders until the updated details are manually verified in the system. Once corrected, tracking information should be generated and emailed to the customer immediately. Section 1.2: Carrier Selection & Shipping Restrictions

• Standard Allocation: To maintain flat-rate and free shipping thresholds, the fulfillment department will automatically select the most cost-effective carrier from our primary logistics companies (FedEx, UPS, or USPS).

• Hazardous Materials & Ammunition: In compliance with federal and postal regulations, ammunition and other legally restricted items cannot be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS). All such orders will be routed exclusively through FedEx or UPS ground networks.

• Special Shipping Requests: Customers requesting a specific carrier or expedited services must contact customer service prior to placing an order. These requests are subject to additional surcharges based on market rates.

Section 1.3: Package Weight Limitations & Split Shipments

• Weight Ceiling: To prevent carrier-enforced heavy-package surcharges and maintain standard shipping rates, individual packages may not exceed 50 lbs.

• Multi-Package Distribution: Orders exceeding 50 lbs. will automatically be split and distributed across multiple packages or separate carriers to optimize handling costs.

• Bulk & Freight Exemptions: The 50 lbs. weight ceiling does not apply to items sold by the pallet or large bulk orders that justify standard freight delivery. Customers requesting that a non-freight order not be split must arrange this prior to ordering and will assume liability for the carrier’s heavy-handling fees.

Section 1.4: Special Packaging & Delivery Requests

• Discreet Packaging Tape: Standard orders are sealed using branded Maryland Munitions tape (which does not contain explicit keywords like "guns" or "ammo"). Customers may request plain brown or clear packing tape at no additional cost by contacting fulfillment prior to shipment.

• Optional Adult Signature: By default, standard shipments do not require an adult signature at delivery if state law does not require it. Customers may request an "Adult Signature Required" stamp on their package free of charge by notifying fulfillment prior to order processing.

• Mandatory Adult Signature: Our company reserves the right to automatically apply mandatory adult signature requirements to shipments containing high-value items or highly regulated merchandise to protect against transit theft. Customers will be notified via email when this protocol is applied.

• Ammunition Lot Requests: Customers seeking specific ammunition production lots must contact fulfillment prior to ordering either by phone or email. If the requested lot is available in current inventory, it will be allocated to the order at no additional charge.

Section 1.5: Address Validation & Prohibited Destinations

• Data Integrity Requirements: Customers must provide valid, active physical addresses, emails, and phone numbers at checkout. Fake or inaccurate contact info that prevents communication regarding order issues may result in fulfillment delays or cancellation.

• P.O. Box Restrictions: Under federal law, USPS will not accept or transport ammunition. Consequently, ammunition orders routed to a P.O. Box address cannot be fulfilled. Customers will be required to provide an alternative physical delivery address; failure to do so will result in the order being archived under standard timeline policies.

• In-Store Pickup Protocols: Customers may elect to pick up orders at our retail fulfillment facility located at 84 Dupont Rd, Martinsburg, West Virginia. The "In-Store Pickup" option must be selected at checkout. If a shipping address is entered that indicates a geographical mismatch (excessive distance from the facility), customer service will flag the order to verify intent and collect any necessary sales tax or shipping adjustments.

Section 1.6: Automatic Knife Shipment Agreement

• Switchblade Shipments: Maryland Munitions requires customers to sign an acknowledgment agreeing that they are federally permitted to have an automatic knife delivered to them. If the customer refuses to sign or does not meet the criteria to be federally able to receive shipments of automatic knives they must have their automatic knife either refunded or shipped to a Bona-fide dealer of weapons or cutlery. Automatic Knife Opening Acknowledgement Form

IN COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL STATUTES, Maryland Munitions Inc. requests that you read carefully the requirements set forth below, and sign this acknowledgement form prior to your purchase or receipt of any automatic opening knife from our company.

By placing an order from us for any automatic opening knife product, you agree that you meet any or all of the following criteria established by Federal law.

Federal Law Restrictions & Exceptions

Federal law prohibits the shipment of automatic knives across state lines, with the following strict exceptions:

1. Federal Government: To civilian or Armed Forces supply or procurement officers and employees of the Federal Government ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of the Federal Government.

2. Active Duty Military: To an active Armed Forces member or employee acting in the performance of his or her duty.

3. National Guard & Militia: To supply or procurement officers of the National Guard, the Air National Guard, or militia of a State, Territory, or the District of Columbia ordering, procuring, or purchasing such knives in connection with the activities of such organization.

4. State & Local Government: To supply or procurement officers or employees of the municipal government of the District of Columbia or the government of any State or Territory, or any county, city, or other political subdivision of a State or Territory.

5. Dealers & Manufacturers: To manufacturers of such knives or bona fide dealers therein in connection with any shipment made pursuant to an order from any person designated in paragraphs 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Please Note: Maryland Munitions Inc. will not sell automatic opening knives to any customer unless such sale or receipt of Product Service return is made in compliance with one or more of the above conditions.

Customer Representation and Certification

The undersigned customer/owner recognizes and acknowledges that it is their responsibility as the owner or buyer to ascertain and obey all applicable laws (local, state, federal, and international) in regard to the possession or purchase of any item from Maryland Munitions Inc.

We hereby represent and certify that our purchase or ownership of automatic opening knives from Maryland Munitions Inc. meets one or more of the criteria set forth above and agree to use these knives in connection with duties as described above in sections 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Section 1.7: Inventory Shortages & Out-of-Stock Resolutions

• Partial Shortages: If the fulfillment department discovers an inventory discrepancy resulting in a missing item, the customer will be contacted via email and offered a comparable product substitution or a line-item refund.

• Major Shortages: If an order is missing the majority of its component inventory, the order will be canceled in its entirety, a full refund will be issued, and a formal notification will be transmitted to the customer.

Section 1.8: Customer Initiated Order Substitutions-Additions

• Customer Initiated Substitutions: In the event that a customer wishes to substitute an item on their order for another after the order has been placed, the customer must contact Maryland Munitions prior to the order’s shipment if they wish to avoid a restocking fee. If addition payment is required due to price discrepancies between substituted products then the customer will have to render additional payment via telephone. If the proposed substitution is less than the value of what has been ordered, then Maryland Munitions will refund the customer the price difference. If when Maryland Munitions issues a refund, that the order value drops below our free shipping thresehold Maryland Munitions retains the right to collect our flat-rate shipping fee.

• Orders Changed Post Shipment: A customer may not amend an order once their package has left the Maryland Munitions Facility. If a customer wishes to amend an order after it has been packaged, but prior to it leaving our facility Maryland Munitions will alter the order as desired, but will need to collect an additional processing fee. The fee collected will be 20% of the original order’s retail value.

• Order Additions: If a customer requests an addition be made to their oder prior to it’s packaging, they must contact Maryland Munitions via telephone so that we can collect the additional payment needed for new items on the order.

Section 1.9: Return, Refund, and Restocking Policy

• Standard Discretionary Returns: Returns requested for reasons other than shipping errors or damaged goods are accepted within our standard return window, provided the customer pays all return freight costs. Discretionary returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee based on the original retail value of the product.

• Order Discrepancies & Shipping Errors: If an item arrives damaged or does not match the invoice, Maryland Munitions will issue a prepaid return shipping label and restock the inventory free of charge. The customer remains responsible for physically tendering the package to the designated carrier.

• Non-Returnable Categories: Due to the unique nature of certain product classifications, all sales are final on items marked as: 

○ Military Surplus, Police Trade-Ins, Vintage Merchandise, or Collectibles. 

• Photographic Evidence Requirements: To initiate a claim regarding a damaged or incorrect order, customers must provide clear photographic documentation of the package condition and contents. These images will be audited against our internal packing logs to determine carrier vs. facility liability.

• Case-by-Case Arbitration: All order complaints, returns, and disputes are handled via human arbitration on a case-by-case basis. Maryland Munitions reserves the right to refuse any return if the inventory is deemed un-restockable, or to modify standard policy terms to equitably resolve a specific customer concern.

Section 1.10: Alternative Distribution Channels (Wholesale & Events)

• Wholesale Purchases: All commercial wholesale transactions must be initiated in person or via telephone. Commercial accounts seeking tax-exempt status must submit a valid State Tax ID certificate via email to have sales tax permanently waived on future online orders.

• Gun Show Pickups: Maryland Munitions maintains an active presence at various Mid-Atlantic regional trade shows. Customers may coordinate with customer service prior to an event to have online or phone orders brought directly to a scheduled gun show, allowing the customer to circumvent standard shipping fees.

Section 1.11: Address Validation & Prohibited Destinations

• Data Integrity Requirements: Customers must provide valid, active physical addresses, emails, and phone numbers at checkout. Fake or inaccurate contact info that prevents communication regarding order issues may result in fulfillment delays or cancellation.

• P.O. Box Restrictions: Under federal law (specifically the Gun Control Act of 1968), the United States Postal Service (USPS) is legally prohibited from accepting or transporting firearms, ammunition, or certain regulated accessories. Because P.O. Boxes are serviced exclusively by the USPS, ammunition orders routed to a P.O. Box address cannot be fulfilled.

• P.O. Box Resolution Protocol: Affected customers must reply to company notifications with either a verifiable, non-P.O. Box physical street address or the name and physical street address of a licensed

• Federal Firearms License (FFL) holder. Failure to provide an alternate address will result in the order being archived under standard timeline policies.

• In-Store Pickup Protocols: Customers may elect to pick up orders at our retail fulfillment facility located at 84 Dupont Rd, Martinsburg, West Virginia. The "In-Store Pickup" option must be selected at checkout.

• Geographical Mismatch Audits: If a shipping address is entered that indicates a geographical mismatch making in-person pickup impractical, customer service will flag the order to verify intent and execute one of the following balance adjustments before direct shipment can occur: 

○ Sales Tax Adjustment: Pickup orders are exempt from sales tax because West Virginia exempts tax on ammunition. If an order is converted to a direct shipment, Maryland Munitions is legally required to collect destination-based state sales tax. Customers must pay the balanced tax over the phone.

 ○ Shipping Fee Adjustment: Converting a pickup order to a direct shipment requires adding a standard shipping fee of $10.99 to the order total. This fee will be completely waived if the customer chooses to modify and expand their order to cross the $250 Free Shipping threshold.

 ○ Combined Shipping & Sales Tax Adjustment: Mismatched pickup orders requiring both adjustments must pay the combined balance over the phone. The $10.99 shipping fee portion can still be waived if the customer adds items to reach the $250 Free Shipping threshold, though destination sales tax will still apply. 

○ No Additional Payment (Straight Conversion): If a distant pickup order is approved for direct shipment without requiring additional freight fees or tax adjustments based on specific lane criteria, the customer must simply reply via email to confirm their physical street address on file before packing and tracking are finalized.

Section 1.12: Regional Sales Tax Nexus

• Legal Obligation: Maryland Munitions Inc. collects and remits state and local sales tax on all taxable purchases destined for the following jurisdictions: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington.

• Economic Nexus Compliance: Under current interstate commerce and "Economic Nexus" laws, out-of-state retailers are legally obligated to collect and remit local sales tax once specific sales volume thresholds are met within a target state.

• Origin vs. Destination Rules: While our physical facility is located in West Virginia (where state sales tax is not applied to ammunition and components), tax exemptions only apply to orders remaining within or physically picked up in West Virginia. ○ Balisongs (Butterfly Knives): Knives featuring two handles that counter-rotate around the tang to conceal or reveal the blade.

• Compliance Resolution and Holds: Any order containing a switchblade or butterfly knife destined for Guam will be placed on an immediate compliance hold. To release the hold, the customer must update the delivery to an alternative shipping destination in a state or territory where these laws do not apply, or authorize the removal of the item from the invoice to receive a full refund to the original method of payment.

Section 60.1: Retail Pricing and In-Store Discount Matrix

• Online Orders and Margin Ceilings: To maintain uniform low pricing across the entire e-commerce infrastructure, Maryland Munitions Inc. operates on a high-volume, low-margin model. Consequently, the company does not offer additional individual discounts, promotional codes, or manual price adjustments for online web orders under any circumstances.

• In-Person Facility Exemptions: In-store purchases executed face-to-face at the physical corporate facility do not incur the specialized logistical, picking, packing, and carrier transport costs inherent to online fulfillment. Therefore, a 2% transactional discount is authorized for in-person purchases only, applicable exclusively to the following verified demographics: 

○ Veterans: Requires presentation of a valid military ID, DD-214, or state-issued veteran designation.

 ○ Seniors: Requires a valid government-issued photo ID verifying the individual is 65 years of age or older. 

○ Students: Requires a current, active identification card from an accredited higher education institution. 

○ Law Enforcement: Requires active department credentials or official police identification.

Section 61.1: Wholesale Procurement and B2B Vendor Partnerships

• Commercial Wholesale Program Eligibility: Maryland Munitions Inc. maintains a dedicated commercial business-to-business (B2B) wholesale division specializing in bulk ammunition and tactical accessory distribution. Access to wholesale pricing matrices is restricted exclusively to active commercial storefronts, licensed retail gun shops, and industry businesses.

• Onboarding and Inventory Procurement: To establish a wholesale purchasing channel, prospective business partners must submit their current state business license and Federal Firearms License (FFL), if applicable, to the wholesale division. Approved accounts receive immediate access to bulk catalog pricing schedules designed to maximize retail dealer margins. All wholesale account onboarding, contract negotiation, and immediate inventory procurement are managed directly through a Maryland Munitions Executive.

Section 62.1: Federal Switchblade Compliance and Postal Certification Mandates

• Statutory Compliance Framework: Pursuant to the Federal Switchblade Knife Act of 1958, codified at 15 U.S.C. §§ 1241–1245, the introduction or transport of automatic, switchblade, or gravity knives into interstate commerce is strictly prohibited unless the transaction falls under a specific statutory exemption outlined in 15 U.S.C. § 1244.

• Mandatory USPS Transit Routing: To remain in strict compliance with United States Postal Service (USPS) Domestic Mail Manual (DMM) regulations governing restricted matter, any order being shipped to an FFL or bona-fide cutlery dealer containing an automatic or gravity knife must be shipped exclusively via the USPS. Standard commercial air or ground carriers may not be utilized.

• Postmaster General Certification Letter Requirement: Every outbound interstate shipment containing an automatic or gravity knife (couriered by USPS) must include a physical, printed copy of the official Postmaster General Certification Letter enclosed directly inside the shipping packaging. This manifest serves as a formal legal declaration by the Chief Legal Officer of Maryland Munitions Inc. certifying that:

 ○ The recipient qualifies under federal statutory exemptions as a bona fide weapons dealer holding a valid Federal Firearms License (FFL), or as a bona fide commercial manufacturer or dealer of cutlery items. 

○ Full compliance documentation is permanently maintained on file at the corporate compliance offices.
